analog connections for your neural net

Submerged figure with teal cable wound around the neck, eyes meeting the camera above the waterline
in today's warming world

wetwire offers the chill needed.

The news cycle is relentless. The climate is changing. The polycrisis is no longer abstract, it's Tuesday. Somewhere in that pressure and noise, people still need music that resets the nervous system without disappearing into the background. Not wallpaper. Not filler. Something melodic, transportive, and built to remember.

Their sound evokes the coastal landscape - rain, fog, and open space… merging the warmth of analog gear with the hypnotic repetition of ambient dub and IDM.

Pleasingly they eschew cut-and-paste, sample-pack music-by-numbers production… a hand-built labor of love.

About

wetwire is Ri Stewart and Renee Slade, recording under Bluedot Productions from the central Oregon coast.

The work is built from analog synth performances, guitar, and self-generated source material - shaped by hand until each piece holds together as a finished composition. Roots run through West Coast bass culture, with remix work for Beloved Presents alongside Beats Antique, Cheb i Sabbah, Ott, Opiuo, and Tipper.

Early music carried trip-hop and trance elements; today wetwire lives between ambient minimalism and deep listening.
